The Strahand Genie was born on wash day — when our founder got tired of pulling shed hair off shower walls and untangling strands from her fingers every time she washed her curls. So she designed a solution. Now? Throw your shed strands on it and keep moving.

How it works

The Strahand Genie is a wash day landing pad with two parts that do two jobs:

The bristles catch your shed hair. As you detangle, swipe your hands across the bristles in a circular motion — strands transfer from your hands to the tool. Or place shed hair directly on the bristles by hand. Either way, your hands come out clean and your shower wall stays clear.

The gel panel releases everything when you're done. Lift it, and the trapped strands come right off the bristles. Wipe them into the trash. Rinse. Remount. That's it.

Two ways to mount

Smooth tile or glass: The suction side mounts directly to the wall in seconds.

Textured walls, stone, or fiberglass: Use the included adhesive hook. Stick it to the wall, then close the Strahand Genie's built-in fastener to form a hanging loop, and hang the loop on the hook. Two installs, one tool, every bathroom covered.

Made for textured hair — Type 2 through Type 4

The Strahand Genie was designed for wash day detangling on:

Type 2 (waves) — 2a, 2b, 2c

Type 3 (curls) — 3a, 3b, 3c

Type 4 (coily/kinky) — 4a, 4b, 4c

Locs, braids, twists, weaves, and extensions

If your hair is fine or bone-straight (Type 1), the bristles won't grip your strands the same way. We'd rather tell you up front.

How do you mount it?

The powerful suction cups allow the Strahand Genie to be mounted on any smooth, non-textured surface. Firmly press the suction cups against shower wall, counter, or other non-textured surface and it will stay put.
For textured surfaces, such as stone or porous tiles, an adhesive hook is included. Simply close the fastener at the top of the Strahand Genie and then hang the loop onto the adhesive hook.
